Eric Moeller
Eric Moeller is a long-time Rock ‘n’ Roll musician from Washington, Missouri, a small town near St. Louis. Over the course of more than 20 years, as a guitarist, band leader, and solo artist, Eric has written & recorded dozens of songs and performed extensively throughout the US and Europe. Eric currently records and performs solo and with his band, Eric Moeller and the All-In Band, playing soulful Rock ‘n’ Roll that builds on his biggest influences: Springsteen, Petty, the Clash, anthemic punk like the Bouncing Souls, and the Muscle Shoals Sound.

Eric wrote his first song at age ten, then formed his first band, Skatter, at age sixteen in Edwardsville, IL. Skatter had a punk sound heavily shaped by the sounds of the Bouncing Souls, the Dropkick Murphys, and Green Day, as documented on the one full-length recording they released in classic DIY fashion. So began what will certainly be a life-long, passionate pursuit of growth as a songwriter, performer, and human being.
In 2003, Moeller moved to Flagstaff, AZ. He quickly found a home in the local punk scene, becoming the lead guitarist of a recently formed street punk band, Back-Alley Abortion.
Highlights of this period:
- Releases: ‘People Don’t Kill People, Earthquakes Do’ EP (2004)
- Back-Alley gained a strong following around AZ
- Summer of ’04: the band did a short tour from St. Louis back to Flagstaff, playing dates in Missouri, Colorado, and Arizona. Eric fell in love with touring and learned he had the skills and capacity for tour planning and implementation.
Setting his sights on becoming a regularly touring musician, Eric began developing as a solo artist.
Highlights of this period:
-
- Releases: ‘Those Nights’ EP (2005)
-
- Early ’07: Eric moved to Missouri and began touring as a solo punk act. He toured on his own, then as part of a package called the American Street Rock Tour with the Resident Saints, the First Wave, and Lucky Scars.
-
Fall ’07: for a period of 6 months, Eric joined the Resident Saints in Lake Havasu City, AZ, as a guitarist and vocalist. They performed regularly throughout the southwest, playing with bands like Rat City Riot and Duane Peter’s Gunfight.
-
-
- Fall ’08, back in MO: Eric added a band to his live shows again, dubbing them the Strummalongs in honor of Joe Strummer. Eric Moeller & the Strummalongs (EMS) built a strong following in St. Louis, playing shows with bands like Flatfoot 56, Fake Problems, AM Taxi, The Hudson Falcons, Swingin’ Utters and the Continental. The band also toured in the Midwest and northeast with some regularity.
-
- EMS Releases: ‘Daily Life’ Full Length (2010)
‘Sleepless’ EP (2011)

In the midst of all of this, Boston punks Far From Finished asked Eric to fill a rhythm guitar slot for them for a European tour in 2010. He gladly accepted the invitation, which put him on stages in 11 European countries with bands like Stiff Little Fingers, Cocksparrer, and Dead to Me.
By the fall of 2012, the band decided to take a break. Eric returned to playing solo while resuming his education. He earned his Masters of Divinity at Eden Theological Seminary, a Progressive Christian institution focused on LGBTQIA+ inclusion and racial and social justice.
During his seminary years, Eric launched a non-profit: the All-In Music Project. In short, All-In uses music intentionally as an instrument for positive social change.
Highlights of this period:
-
Some recording, performing, and touring became initiatives of the non-profit.
-
Eric did several All-In Tours comprised of several components:
-
Shows for impoverished people in shelters, food pantries, community meals, etc.
-
Shows in traditional venues
-
Exploration of museums and historical sites relevant to music’s role in social movements like the Civil Rights movement.
-
Educational components for participants that came along for the ride.
-
-
EMS was relaunched as Eric Moeller and the All-In Band.
Releases: ‘Little Fiery One’ EP (2017) ‘Finally Out of the Basement’ Solo EP (2023) ‘Up, Up, Up’ Single (2024) ‘Etch’ Single (2024) ‘Keep On’ Single (2025) 'Heaven (I Don’t Need to Die)’ Single (2025)
2025 brought the return of the All-In Tour for the first time since the pandemic began. It included solo shows for at-risk youth, people experiencing homeless, progressive people doing the hard work of supporting their community in this turbulent time, and concluded with Eric presenting a paper at the Born to Run at 50 Conference hosted by the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ.
Stepping into 2026, Eric looks forward to writing, performing, and recording music as much as possible, while also creating other content exploring the intersection of Rock ‘n’ Roll and a Spirituality of Liberation. The pursuit continues. I am looking for partners in the journey (managers, publicists, labels, bands to play with, etc). If you would like to discuss working together in any capacity, please reach out to allineric@allinmusicproject.org.
